Upcoming Commissions

We at Impressions Everlasting are committed to our mission of providing the finest pieces of LDS artwork by today’s best artists.  While additional commissions are always in the works, below is a summary of what is to come in 2007:

Pino -

Pino is one of the best-received artists to work in collaboration with Impressions Everlasting.  Just as he has awed viewers for decades, he continues to amaze his collectors with each new canvas he creates.  We have commissioned four new paintings for 2007 which will feature some wonderfully unique elements.

First, is a painting of a family gathering with a painting of the Manti Temple hung above their mantle.  The image will feature four generations of women, capturing the particularly blessed family unity that spans generations.  The painting of the temple above their mantle will be a subtle reminder of their eternal family unit.  While all of Pino’s works are impressive, there are two aspects of this painting that make it truly unique.  The first is the sheer size of this painting.  It will be 40” x 50”, making it considerable larger than the artist’s other works.  Even more impressive, we are offering something special for this limited edition of fifteen artist proofs.  Each proof will feature a different temple hand painted by Pino.  Collectors will be able to select which temple they wish to appear above the mantle, provided it has not already been purchased by another collector.  Additionally, the limited edition of this painting will feature the Salt Lake Temple, making both the original and the artist proofs truly one of a kind!

The second commission will be of the same impressive 40” x 50” dimensions and will capture the sacrifice and faith of the early Church pioneers.  It will depict a mother cradling a small child as she tends a handcart.  Her two older children walk alongside her while behind them the beautiful Nauvoo Temple stands majestically in the background.  The holy sacrifice and determination of the pioneers is certain to be captured in this amazing work of art!

Pino is perhaps best known for capturing quiet, often introspective moments in time when it would appear the subjects remain unaware that they are being observed.  This aspect will be highlighted in a third new commission.  In this image, Pino will illustrate children lying on the floor as they read the scriptures, all under the watchful tutelage of their mother from a nearby couch.  As of this printing, the temple for this painting is yet to be determined.

Lastly, Pino will be painting one of a series of nativity paintings we have commissioned.  It will capture the adoration of the Magi and is sure to be a masterpiece!  In this spectacularly magical work, Pino will invoke color and light to portray the Wise Men in the presence of the infant Christ.  This will be a brilliant image in both depiction and subject, and will become a treasured addition to any home.

Antal Goldfinger –

Antal Goldfinger’s amazing style has been described as a fusion of the Old Masters’ techniques with the vibrancy of color and light.  This along with his amazing attention to detail have set him apart from other artists of today and given his paintings the international appeal that has made him one of the most sought after painters of our time.  Much to our pleasure, he will create two paintings for us in 2007.

The first is a 40” x 60” depiction of the Salt Lake Temple.  Antal’s pieces are full of symbolism, and this temple will certainly be a showcase for his vast talents. Also, Antal’s unique trademark of his limited editions is that he adds a “little original” to each print, making each of them truly one of a kind.

For his second creation, Antal has the distinction of being one of a select group of elite artists commissioned to portray the Nativity for Impressions Everlasting.  True to his style, this image will be in the tradition of the Old Masters and will capture the majesty of the Savior’s birth.  Only four copies of this spectacular creation will be available.

Àlvar –

Our reception of Tributo Duradero, Àlvar Suñol Muños-Ramos' first commissioned work for Impressions Everlasting, was certainly a thrill for us, and we are excited to have him creating several additional commissions for us in 2007.

Àlvar will first be creating two large paintings--approximately 40” x 50”—one depicting the Manti temple and the other the Nauvoo Temple.  Àlvar’s unique contemporary style will be sure to capture these two LDS Temples unlike anything created by any other artist.

In the works are also five smaller paintings of approximately 20” x 24” inches on board.  These will feature the following Temples: Nauvoo, St. George, Logan, Manti and Salt Lake.

These five temples will also be featured prominently in a unique set of lithographs.  While the entire group will feature the same main text, each of the five different temples will be featured individually in the edition.  What will make this such a unique offering is that the temples will all be hand painted in watercolors by Àlvar. This highly unusual offering will be sold as a collector’s set.

We have also commissioned Àlvar to create six drawings featuring the Kirtland, Nauvoo, St George, Logan, Manti, and Salt Lake Temples.

Finally, Àlvar will lend his own distinctive style to a glorious painting of the Nativity.

James Jensen –

James Jensen is unequivocally the best pastel artist of all time.  His work in this challenging medium creates a painting-like appearance with the depth and richness of color found only in pastels.  It is easy to see why his renderings have received national acclaim.  This year, James will portray the birth of Jesus Christ as only he can, creating a masterpiece which is sure to be treasured by all.

As you can see, this will be an exciting year for all of us at Impressions Everlasting!  It is with great excitement that we anticipate making new works and editions available, and we treasure the wonderful experience of sharing the beauty of LDS history, faith and collectible art.
